Move to FedRAMP High Without Taking the Platform Offline
The agency’s enterprise ServiceNow platform needed to move from FedRAMP Moderate to FedRAMP High without disrupting users. All four instances also needed a major release upgrade and hundreds of plugin updates.
Leadership had no single view of platform health or authorization status. The work had to address security, modernization, and visibility while keeping the platform available.
A coordinated path to a more secure, modern platform.
OmniVista led the security hardening and migration of all four instances, prepared the authorization package, and ran contingency and incident response tests.
Harden
Migrate all four instances to the higher security baseline.
Upgrade
Move the platform to the Yokohama release.
Test
Validate plugin updates in an automated regression suite.
Integrate
Connect Jira, Microsoft 365, and asset management tools.
Monitor
Bring platform health and authorization into one view.
Every plugin update was tested before production. Two leadership dashboards bring system status and continuous monitoring together on one screen.
Stronger assurance. Clearer oversight.
Security and modernization translated into concrete changes in how the platform was managed and used.
Higher assurance, with users still connected.
All four instances moved to FedRAMP High with no service interruption. A three-year Authority to Operate was granted in April 2026.
More than 300 plugin updates passed automated testing before production. The team closed 95% of platform tickets year to date, and ServiceNow-to-Jira integrations ended manual ticket re-entry.
