SAFe Agile Consultant

We are currently seeking a skilled, certified SAFe Agile Consultant to join our dynamic software development consulting team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of a large-scale software system governed by complex business rules. As a SAFe Agile Consultant, you will work closely with government and vendor senior leadership, product owners, and scrum masters to refine and enhance the SAFe Agile processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing the programs approach to Agile and improvement of use of their JIRA boards, designing effective dashboards, and providing strategic advice on velocity and other essential progress metrics.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and government managers to enhance the SAFe Agile implementation processes.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to boost Agile maturity across the team.
  • Right-size and optimize JIRA boards to streamline workflow and improve team efficiency.
  • Develop, customize, and manage JIRA dashboards to track progress and provide real-time insights into project metrics.
  • Advise on best practices for measuring team velocity and other performance metrics to ensure project targets are met.
  • Work closely with scrum masters to identify impediments in Agile practices and propose practical solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance on the Agile process to all team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Certified SAFe Agile Practitioner with substantial experience applying SAFe principles in a software development environment.
  • Proven track record of working with software teams utilizing JIRA for product implementation management.
  • Strong experience in developing, customizing, and managing JIRA dashboards.
  • Expertise in establishing and tracking progress metrics using JIRA to provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders, including senior leadership and government managers.
  • Ability to facilitate, train, and mentor teams in Agile practices and principles.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Previous experience as a Product Owner and/or Scrum Master, particularly in support of federal agencies, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with additional Agile methodologies and frameworks beyond SAFe (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience in a consulting or advisory role within a government or large-scale corporate setting.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex project environments.

Junior Project Manager

  *DoD Secret Clearance a must
**Must be local to the Washington DC area

This role will support the a federal IT program through various applications, processes, and associated interfaces. Duties includes both management and monitoring of the existing applications and processes, as well as partnering with the development teams to guide future business direction, enhancements, and optimization.

The PM will work with stakeholders to gather and document key functional and technical requirements, assist in development of the business case, and collaborate with internal development teams to deliver technology solutions that meet the business need and deliver value.

This role will be located with our Northern VA in a Hybrid/Remote capacity requiring on-site and off-site support. Location is: Main State – 2201 C St NW, Washington, DC 20520.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists and supports the development and implementation for new and significant improvements to major processes through collaboration with colleagues.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, best practices, and can support technology & documentation, including Power BI Dashboards.
  • Work and collaborate closely with key stakeholders (US Embassy posts and internal teams) to document the key business goals and objectives for a new or existing process.
  • Prepares detailed requirement specifications in the form of user stories or functional requirement documents for the development teams.
  • Participation in the agile software development process as a proxy for the process owner role to help facilitate progress, answer any questions, and provide more detailed requirements as necessary.
  • Collaborate with development teams to produce any required documentation or communications that may be necessary in support of the project including project status, project roadmap, release plan, etc.
  • Support project delivery by working with the user community to document and coordinate various functions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology, Logistics, or related field with one or more years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience, training, and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • US Citizen: Currently possessing or ability to successfully obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance upon hire.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based Desktop/Laptop Computers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills, and analytical capability.  Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to be flexible and work hard, in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Job Description – ServiceNow / ITSM Developer (3+ years)

Summary of Position:

Seeking a skilled developer (mid to senior) to help build a strategic platform to improve IT and Business processes, in support of a federal client in DC. The developer will work with a team of ServiceNow developer/architects to help with the development tasks of the solution based on the integration of ServiceNow. Lots of room to grow.

The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing ServiceNow products. They will perform the necessary tasks to develop and configure customizations across ServiceNow functions to meet design needs. Must be able to get up to speed very quickly, be able to work both independently and as a productive member of a project team. The position requires the candidate to work closely with key client stakeholders and senior technology leaders.

Primary areas of support include:
· ITSM – Service Portal, Incident, Request, Knowledge, Change & Asset Management;
· ITBM – Project Portfolio Management, Idea, Demand, Agile Development & Test Management
· ITOM – Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Management
