What We Build and Deliver

Artificial Intelligence

Featured: Meet FReD

FReD is a secure conversational AI our team delivered for the newly formed Fraud Division at the Department of Justice (DOJ). Attorneys load their own documents into a closed environment and ask questions in plain language. No technical skill is needed.

FReD runs on Amazon Quick with a built-in large language model (LLM) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). We put it in users' hands in one day. It started with 10 attorneys and now supports 100. FReD was featured at the most recent DOJ generative AI session at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Generative AI & Document Search

Generative AI reads, summarizes, and answers questions about your documents. For DOJ, we built an LLM chatbot for the DOJ employee portal. Staff search for documents in plain language, see the most relevant results, and get short summaries of what each document says.

AI Strategy & Governance

Start with the use cases that matter to your mission. We help you pick them, build a roadmap, and put governance and risk controls in place before anything reaches production. Our AI inventories show leaders which AI tools are in use across the agency. We also configure ServiceNow AI Control Tower so you can track those tools in one place.

AI-Assisted Development & Automation

AI tools take routine work off your developers and service desk staff. At DOJ, we introduced an AI-assisted development tool that grew from 11 to 34 active subscribers within two months. Our team also integrated Moveworks AI into the DOJ ServiceNow environment to automate end-user support.

Data Science & Engineering

Data Strategy & Governance

We set the rules for who owns your data, who can see it, and how it stays accurate. Our team writes data strategies and governance models, then manages access policies through Immuta. Your AI tools draw only on data approved for use.

Data Platforms & Engineering

Our engineers design data architecture and build warehouse, lake, and lakehouse platforms on Snowflake, Databricks, and Kinetica. We connect data from separate systems into one platform, so analysts work from a single source and AI projects start with clean, modernized data.

Analytics & Decision Support

Dashboards and reports put the numbers leaders need in front of them. For the Department of Justice (DOJ), we launched a Snowflake proof of concept that feeds live mission data into a Tableau dashboard. Our analysts also map business processes and build decision support tools around them.

Cloud & Digital Modernization

Cloud Platform Engineering

Our engineers maintain the Department of Justice (DOJ) multi-account Amazon Web Services (AWS) Landing Zone, shared by more than a dozen DOJ programs. We manage the platform as infrastructure as code, release hardened server images every month, and keep a library of container images vetted against Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks. Our team upgraded the Landing Zone Accelerator across GovCloud and commercial environments with zero service disruption.

Application Modernization

Legacy tools that cost too much to maintain move to cloud-native services. At DOJ, we replaced a legacy asset tracking tool with AWS-native security and asset reporting and eliminated hundreds of staff hours of manual upkeep. We also mapped a cloud-native path for the DOJ intranet search platform, projected to save about $100,000 a year.

Cloud Operations & Cost Management

Every DOJ program on the Landing Zone gets hands-on support from onboarding through steady-state operations. Our team resolves more than 50 tickets a month and holds an average monthly closure rate above 85%. Automated budget alerts and cloud financial operations (FinOps) monitoring run across all Landing Zone accounts.

Cybersecurity & Information Assurance

RMF, ATO & Continuous Monitoring

We take systems through Authority to Operate (ATO) and keep them authorized. Our team helped the Department of State (DoS) Office of Management Strategy and Solutions earn its first three-year ATO and built Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls into its development and change management processes. DoS awarded us multiple Certificates of Appreciation for this work. At the Department of Justice (DOJ), we supported ATOs for four customer systems and a three-year ATO for the ServiceNow platform.

Zero Trust & Vulnerability Management

Our network security engineers are preparing the DoS MeterNet project for Zero Trust Architecture. At DOJ, we restricted cloud console access to trusted network paths. We also built a dashboard that pulls vulnerability findings from Amazon Inspector and Amazon Security Lake across every account in the DOJ cloud Landing Zone.

OT & IoT Security

Building systems and connected devices need the same protection as IT systems. We engineered the DoS Internet of Things (IoT) platform, the first at State to earn full ATO. At the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), our design brings more than 370 building and data center devices under one firewall console and sets up phased network segmentation for operational technology (OT) traffic.

IT Strategy & Portfolio Management

Technology Roadmaps

Under the Department of Justice (DOJ) Rapid Technology Services (RTS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), we are building a litigation technology roadmap for the Civil Division, the largest litigating component at DOJ. Our team inventories the tools litigators use and finds duplicates and gaps. The roadmap sequences pilots around active cases so case support never pauses.

Process Redesign & Workforce Modernization

We map how work gets done today and design how it should run next. For the Civil Division Office of Information Technology (OIT), we deliver current- and future-state maps, gap analyses, and implementation plans for onboarding, account management, identity and access, and help desk work. Our team is also rewriting OIT position descriptions to the federal 2210 IT competency standards.

Portfolio Governance & Agile Delivery

Leaders need to see where IT money goes and what it returns. We set up portfolio governance, total cost of ownership (TCO) reviews, program management offices (PMOs), and AI inventories. At the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), our coaches run Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) ceremonies and track team velocity and business value for release planning.

ServiceNow & Enterprise Integration

Platform Administration & Integration

We administer the Department of Justice (DOJ) Justice Management Division (JMD) ServiceNow platform. Our team finished a major upgrade on schedule with zero production downtime and earned a three-year Authority to Operate (ATO) for the platform. Two-way Jira integrations we built removed manual handoffs between DOJ ticketing systems.

ServiceNow Modernization & ITSM

For the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), we rebuilt the Service Portal and cut the service catalog from 15 categories to 3. Our team reduced workflow steps, consolidated change requests, connected demand management to Azure DevOps, and replaced paper forms with automated processes. We also built a Virtual Agent minimum viable product (MVP) for automated user help.

Dashboards, Security Workflows & Service Content

JMD leaders watch platform health on a real-time dashboard we built. At EOIR, our team tracks vulnerability remediation and automates security reporting. For the DOJ Civil Division, we write the standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, knowledge articles, and service catalog content for its move to ServiceNow.
