Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions Architect

The AI Solutions Architect is a member of the Cloud Platform Team who provides direct support to the CTO on enterprise Artificial Intelligence initiatives. This role bridges strategy and execution by engaging with department components to identify AI use cases, evaluating multi-cloud solutions, prototyping innovative approaches, and enabling components to adopt AI capabilities at scale. The position serves as a collaborative resource from the CTO to help components explore AI opportunities through proof-of-concept development and implementation pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI Strategy & CTO Support
    • Serve as the department’s AI enabler, monitor AI vendor market across multiple cloud platforms, conduct trade-off analyses, and translate enterprise AI strategy into actionable recommendations. Support department-wide AI consolidation efforts while maintaining platform flexibility.
  • Component Engagement & Use Case Development
    • Proactively engage with different components department-wide to identify potential AI use cases and opportunities.
    • Capture and prioritize use cases, develop clear documentation with compelling use case writeups, and work collaboratively as a free resource to help components explore AI adoption.
  • Multi-Cloud AI Engineering & Integration
    • Build prototypes using multi-cloud AI platforms including AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, and Anthropic. Implement RAG, LLMs, and AI engines across different cloud environments.
    • Integrate AI capabilities into existing software packages such as ServiceNow AI, evaluating trade-offs between building custom applications versus leveraging existing platforms.
  • Proof-of-Concept Development & Transition
    • Design and develop proofs-of-concept for stakeholder validation, support “art of the possible” solution engineering, and transition validated prototypes to component adoption.
    • Enable components to progress from proof-of-concept to production consumption models.
  • Collaboration & Enablement
    • Act as a department-wide AI integrator, lead workshops and demos, work with downstream stakeholders to derive actionable use cases, and align adoption with modernization roadmaps at the direction of the CTO and OCIO staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in AI solution architecture, enterprise cloud IT, or analytics modernization
    • Multi-cloud experience with hands-on expertise across AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms for AI implementations
    • Hands-on experience with multiple cloud-based AI tools including AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Palantir
    • Proven experience developing and optimizing integrated AI capabilities in existing software packages (e.g., ServiceNow AI) with demonstrated ability to evaluate build vs. platform trade-offs

ServiceNow Integration Engineer

The ServiceNow Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable integrations between the ServiceNow platform and other federal systems, applications, and data sources. This role works closely with architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure integration solutions meet federal compliance standards such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Design & Development
    • Design and implement integrations using ServiceNow IntegrationHub, APIs (REST/SOAP), web services, and middleware solutions such as MID Servers.
